INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Alyssa is a Registered Social Worker (RSW), having completed a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree at the University of Manitoba. Alyssa is registered with the Manitoba College of Social Workers (MCSW) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) and has been working in social services for almost 10 years.

Alyssa has a passion for connecting with others through building rapport, humour, empathy, and compassion to foster self-awareness and minimize bias while also challenging systems and systemic issues which contribute to mental health issues for individuals. Her ability to empathize and be understanding is one of her foundational approaches to creating a space that is safe and nonjudgmental while building on connection, trust and exploration of interests, wants, and needs for her clients. Alyssa works from a client-centred approach and incorporates cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness-based therapy into her sessions.
