CLINICAL DIRECTORS

SHANNON FOSTER
MSW, RSW, Clinical Director

Shannon’s educational background is based in psychology and social work, with extensive work experience in the disability field, particularly around FASD, and child welfare prior to opening and developing a therapy practice. She has a passion for providing alternative therapy modalities to individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, while training and educating others on how to offer more accessible services to their own clients. She also has experiential knowledge of business, including growing businesses and developing programs, managing teams of people, providing clinical supervision, and coordinating large projects.

Shannon sees individuals and families in private practice while also clinically supervising a large team of therapists, providing private practice business advice, client-specific informed treatment planning and direction to her supervisees.

KRISTENE MACDONALD
BSW, RSW, Clinical Director

Kristene’s educational background is based in social work and counselling psychology, with additional course work specific to play based modalities and trauma focused therapy. Prior to working in private practice, Kristene worked in a range of supervisory roles in the social services field, specifically in settings that provided daily living supports to individuals with various disabilities, and their families. She highly values supervision in all forms, as this was an integral part of her growth and development in her career. Kristene’s approach to supervision is very individualized, she wants to get to know and understand you as an individual and as a professional to ensure that your individualized needs and goals are being met.

Kristene currently co-owns a private practice and co-supervises a large team of therapists. She has extensive knowledge and understanding of how exhausting and challenging it can be to open a successful private practice, manage and hire employees/contractors, navigate multiple priorities (school, business, family life), all while maintaining self-care and emotional well-being. She has a passion for working alongside other professionals in all stages of their educational and professional journey to provide the support that they need to be successful.
