Melissa Schofield is a Registered Social Worker (RSW), having completed a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree at the University of Manitoba. Melissa is registered with the Manitoba College of Social Workers (MCSW) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). Melissa is certified in Brain Spotting Level 1 through the Canadian Prairies Institute for Midbrain Therapies.
Recognizing the strengths of children, youth, and families, Melissa empowers them to reach emotional and psychological well-being by utilizing an adaptable, person-centred approach. She values the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and believes a key component to this development is trust, respect, and humour. Melissa has dedicated her career to working with children, teens and young adults who live with mental health concerns, neurological disabilities, justice system involvement, addictions and who may have experienced relational conflict in the home.
