Some things to remember about consent:
Healthy communication is important. Ask for consent before touching someone or engaging in a sexual act. Listen to the words they are using, but also look at body language and facial expressions.
No one is obliged or should be coerced; their decision is Non-Negotiable. People can revoke their consent at any time.
Consent should be given when sober. An intoxicated person cannot give consent.
Consent should be enthusiastic and never forced. No one should feel pressured or coerced into doing something that they don’t want to do.
Trust between two sexual partners is important.
Consent is individual and needs to be obtained each time. It is important to check in during a sexual encounter in case they change their mind.
Having questions and being curious is normal.
